Really happy with the fence Tim built for us. He was easy to deal with, turned up when he said he would, and put a lot of care into getting everything right. The finished fence looks great and has made a huge difference to the property. Would definitely use Tim again and have no hesitation recommending him.

Tim replaced our small grass area with a ready lawn after the existing area had been dug up due to drainage works and dried out. We are very happy with the result and now have a thick (and visually pleasing) lawn.
Tim from The Landscape Company responded to a job I posted on No Cowboys. A small job with a tight timeframe at a time of year (leading up to Christmas) when it can be difficult to get things done. Tim was committed to getting the job done on time, working in the rain one day and even delayed his holiday by a day to complete the job. We were very grateful as it enabled us to give a new puppy a safe area. Tim always responded to my queries promptly, gave a timely quote, asked questions to understand our expectations of the finished job and communicated clearly on when he would be on site to do the work. When some of the timber was unexpectedly unavailable, he told us why and the cause of the delay. The final fences and gates are brilliant. Tim kept a very tidy worksite, ensured no mud was transferred to the concrete driveway, accommodated changes that arose due to a change of mind on our part, and was very easy and pleasant to deal with. I have no hesitation in recommending Tim from The Landscape Company.

I found Tim to help with some landscaping from a local advertisement. Whilst I try and find tradespeople via referrals I am absolutely thrilled that I stumbled across Tim to help out with some handyman projects around the house.
His work was to a high standard and I am very satisfied with the work he has done to date (even finding him more projects for him to do 😊). Tim was very professional, friendly and keen to make it work for me. He also spent his own time educating me on what to fill my garden beds with by spending the time talking to me about it and emailing through information to read.

Fabulous job with my readlawn, transformed my whole garden
Tim has very quickly and professionally transformed the overgrown & neglected garden to the front & rear of my property. I now have smart, clean and easy-keep areas and he was very generous with his advice on how best to nurture my citrus trees. It was so reassuring to be kept informed as to exactly when he would be onsite - and he and all his sub-contractors were always punctual and were skillful and respectful. I would absolutely recommend Tim for any landscape work. He is very knowledgable and gets the job done quickly & cleanly.

A 90m boundary fence in Mt Eden, designed and built by Tim and his team.
Major job as he had to demolish and remove old fence and establish new secure footing in volcanic rock subsoil, plus profile appropriate fence height and ground clearance for variable contours of driveway and walkway either side of boundary.
First class construction and one to one communication with a helpful and informative Tim made this this job the best I have ever been involved with over my 40 years of property maintenance and administration.

Why reviews matter more in this trade
Most of what determines whether an outdoor structure lasts is buried: pile depth, drainage behind a wall, the grade of timber in the ground. A client cannot inspect it and a photograph will not show it. The only real evidence available to somebody choosing a builder is what happened to the people who went before them, and whether those structures are still square a decade later.
If you would like to speak to a past client directly rather than read about them, ask when Tim comes out. On most jobs there is somebody nearby who is happy to have a word.
